ABOUT ME

Welcome to my website! I hope you enjoy exploring my artwork as much as I enjoyed creating it. Living in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, the local and British wildlife inspire much of my work. Like many artists, my passion for art began as early as I can remember, I have always loved drawing and had a fascination with the natural world. I work predominantly in pencil, both in colour and graphite with a keen eye for colour and detail. I use archival quality lightfast colour pencils and premium grade graphite to ensure your artwork is of the highest quality and will last a lifetime.

A little about me...

I am 43 years old, originally from Wakefield in West Yorkshire, I moved to Manchester in 2000, where I successfully completed my degree in fine art textiles. In my last year of university, I then went on to complete a teaching PGCE in Art and Design. For nearly 10 years, I shared my passion for art and textiles in secondary education, in Manchester. I now live in Cheshire with my Husband and 2 little boys. After baby number two, I had to make the difficult decision to leave teaching due to the ongoing complex medical needs of my youngest son. This encouraged me to pick up my art materials again, as a way of escaping, and my pencils became a great source of therapy to me...I’d also forgotten how much I loved just losing myself in a piece of artwork, just me and my pencils. I'm now in a position where I can offer bespoke pet portrait commissions and original wildlife art. I hope you enjoy my gallery, I look forward to discussing potential projects with you and creating some beautiful, personal artwork for you.
