  1. All prices in the ‘commissions’ and ‘originals’ section are exclusive of postage and packaging. P&P is additional, the cost varies individually, and is dependent on the customer’s country of residence, and the size of the portrait.

  2. Once a date has been agreed, a deposit of 20% of the total cost for the portrait (excluding postage) must be paid within 5 days to reserve a commission space in the diary. These must be paid once the size, price and date have been confirmed, and initial pet photos have been seen to assess their suitability. The deposit is then deducted from the final balance.

  3. Failure to pay the deposit within the 5 day allowance will result in no date being reserved, this date may then be offered to another customer.

  4. Deposits are non refundable; this is to protect my time and my business from potential losses. It also covers the cost of paper and any other additional materials purchased to complete the commission.

  5. On completion of the commission, the customer will receive an electronic image of the completed portrait with watermark. Once the customer has approved the final portrait, the remaining balance plus postage must be paid in full within 7 days. Once payment has been received, the customer will receive electronic confirmation/receipt of payment, and the portrait will be mounted, packaged and posted.

  6. If no payment is received within 7 days, or the customer declines the commission after the work has been completed, the artist* retains the artwork. The artist is then permitted to sell the artwork or make prints from the commission, in order to compensate any losses.

  7. Unfortunately, I cannot accept returns or refunds on bespoke commissions and originals. All artwork is posted via the ‘tracked and signed for’ premium for extra protection. The artist cannot accept responsibility for damage in transit, but the artwork is insured through the courier. The artist will not accept responsibility or liability for customs charges and taxes imposed by some countries and regions. 

  8. If the client cancels their commission at any point, the customer loses the deposit paid.

  9. All artworks, including portraits, commissions, original artworks, prints and any other product within my range, remain the intellectual property of the artist. All artworks must not be copied, reproduced or resold in any way without full written permission from the artist.

  10. In the highly unlikely event that I cannot complete your commission (due to personal or family illness, force majeure) I will contact you as soon as possible and you will be entitled to a full refund of your deposit or an alternate date can be agreed.
